You have seen the Burj Khalifa in a thousand photos. Standing beneath it is different. Driving past it in a Lamborghini Huracán with the windows down is something else entirely. The sound bounces off the surrounding towers and comes back to you amplified. Pedestrians on the boulevard stop and point. Your partner films a shaky video from the passenger seat that will outperform every other post on their feed. The next stop is the Palm, where the Atlantis rises out of the sea like a film set. You park, take photos, and eat overpriced ice cream while strangers ask if they can sit in the car. You say yes to most of them. The drive back through the Marina at dusk, with the yacht masts lit up and the buildings reflecting pink sky, is the moment you understand why twelve million people visit this city every year.
