Common Questions
Track Day FAQ
Can I bring my own rental supercar to Yas Marina?
No, rental vehicles are not permitted on circuit. Yas Marina Circuit provides a fleet of high-performance vehicles for their track experiences, including Aston Martin GT4s and Formula Yas 3000 single-seaters. This ensures proper insurance coverage and vehicle preparation.
What's the difference between Track Days and Hot Laps?
Track Days let you drive the car yourself with instructor guidance. Hot Laps put you in the passenger seat while a professional racing driver pushes the car to its limits. Hot Laps are great if you want to experience F1-level speeds without driving.
Can I drive an actual Formula car?
Yes! The Formula Yas 3000 experience puts you behind the wheel of a single-seater formula car capable of over 240 km/h. You'll need to complete a briefing session first, but no prior racing experience is required.
When is the best time to visit?
October through April offers ideal weather. The circuit is especially magical during twilight sessions when the track lights up as the sun sets - just like during the F1 race. Avoid race week (typically late November) unless you have event tickets.
How far is Yas Marina from Dubai?
Approximately 80-90 minutes drive from Dubai Marina/Downtown. The circuit is on Yas Island, which also features Ferrari World, Warner Bros World, and Yas Waterworld - perfect for a full day trip.
Is there a minimum lap time requirement?
No minimum lap time for standard track experiences. Instructors will help you improve throughout the session. However, for safety reasons, you must follow flag signals and may be black-flagged if driving dangerously.
